We want to share an important update about upcoming regulatory changes in California that will affect the availability of certain products.

What's Changing on July 1st, 2026?

California Assembly Bill 8 (AB8) establishes new licensing and distribution requirements for hemp-derived products containing THC. As a result, we will no longer be able to offer these products to California customers starting July 1, 2026.

The following products will be unavailable for purchase in California after this date:

  • Daily Delight Gummies
  • Extra Delight Gummies
  • Sound Asleep Gummies
  • Mood Boost Gummies
  • Deep Sleep Gummies
  • Unwind Gummies
  • Max Relief Gummies
  • Max Relief Full Spectrum Oil
  • Max Relief + Relax Full Spectrum Oil
  • Max Relief Full Spectrum Capsules
  • Bundles including any of the products above.

This Was Not a Decision We Took Lightly

We want to be transparent: this is not a change we wanted to make. Our team has been closely monitoring AB8's development and working to find compliant pathways to continue offering the products you trust. We've explored every available option.

Unfortunately, the requirements established under AB8 mean that full spectrum hemp products containing THC can no longer be sold through our platform in California, and we are committed to operating in full compliance with state law.

What This Means for You

We understand that for some customers, particularly those who have built a consistent routine around full spectrum formulations, this disruption is real, and we don't take that lightly.

The affected products listed above remain available in California while supplies last through June 23, 2026.

After that date, you will continue to have access to Medterra's options that meet California's updated standards, including:

  • CBD isolate products
  • Broad spectrum formulations, which contain non-detectable levels of THC and comply with California state regulations
  • New compliant innovations we expect to share more about in the coming months

Will owning these products become illegal?

No. These changes apply to sale and distribution, not personal possession or use.

If I stock up now, how long will products stay good?

Most products have a shelf life of 12–24 months when stored properly (cool, dry place, away from sunlight). Always refer to the expiration date on your product.

What happens to my subscription?

If your subscription includes impacted products, our team will reach out with options — including switching to compliant alternatives or updating your order.
